Cordless Mushroom Table Lamp

The Viego Co. Cordless Mushroom Table Lamp is a small polished iron mushroom that runs with no cable at all, so it can sit on a nightstand, a bar, a windowsill or a desk without a socket anywhere near it. The metal is polished rather than painted, which is what gives the body its depth under its own light.

A tap on the cap switches it on and a long press dims it, so the whole lamp is the control and there is no button to find in the dark. Colour temperature runs from 3000 K to 6500 K, covering a warm evening setting and a cooler working one. It charges over USB-C at 5 V from the same lead as a phone. The LED is integrated, flicker free and sits behind an acrylic shade, so no bulb is ever fitted. It measures 15 by 22 cm and comes in silver, gold, black or white.
