Gold Pipe Acrylic Wall Sconce

The Viego Co. Gold Pipe Sconce is a hardwired wall light shaped as a slim frosted tube on a plated gold frame. Light leaves the tube evenly along its whole length and spills both upward and downward, which makes it a mirror-side fixture rather than a reading light. A pair either side of a bathroom mirror is the arrangement it is designed for.

The frame is metal with a gold-plated surface and the shade is frosted acrylic rather than glass, so it is lighter to handle and will not shatter if knocked during fitting. Two 7W G9 LED bulbs are included and are user replaceable, running at a warm white 2700 to 3500 K. The fixture is hardwired and accepts AC 110 to 260 V, so it works on either side of the Atlantic. It is not dimmable and carries no water resistance rating.

It mounts to a standard wall box. Because there is no IP rating it belongs on a bathroom wall away from direct spray, or in a hallway, a bedroom or beside a dressing mirror. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician. A single unit over a mirror works, though the fixture was drawn to be used in pairs.
