Rechargeable Touch Wall Lamp

The Viego Co. Rechargeable Touch Wall Lamp is a battery powered wall light with two light sources, one firing upward and one downward, so it lays a symmetrical wash on the wall above and below itself. It needs no wiring at all, which is what makes it usable in a rented room or on a wall with no circuit behind it.

The body is ABS with an acrylic diffuser at each end, offered in white, walnut, black and a wood finish. Brightness is set by touching the body or by the supplied remote, and three colour temperatures are available from the same control. The internal battery charges over USB-C at 12 V, so it tops up from a phone charger. The LED is integrated, meaning no bulb is ever bought or fitted.

It hangs on a bracket fixed with screws or adhesive and lifts off for charging, so it suits a bedside, a hallway, a stairwell, a home office or a nursery landing. A pair facing each other along a corridor is a common use. Recharge every few weeks depending on nightly run time. Because nothing is wired in, the lamp can move to another wall or another room without any making good.
