Ribbed Amber Glass Tealight Holders

The Viego Co. Ribbed Amber Glass Tealight Holders are small votives with ribs running the whole way around and a narrower base flaring to a wider top. Amber glass does something clear glass cannot: it warms the light on its way out, so a plain white tealight reads as a much softer, older-looking flame through the ribbing.

They are sold in packs of two, four or six, and the six-pack is the one that makes a centrepiece rather than an accent. Set out along a plate down the middle of a table they light a whole run, or split up across a shelf, a bathroom, a kitchen windowsill or a mantel they work as separate points of light. The ribbed texture is what throws the pattern outward, so each one puts more on the surface around it than a smooth votive would.

Tealight and votive candles are not included, so you choose the burn time and scent. Because they are open glass cups, they also work with nothing lit in them at all, holding stems, dried herbs, matches or small things on a desk. Each order arrives wrapped in bubble wrap inside a box. Wash by hand and dry fully before a candle goes back in. Never leave a burning candle unattended, keep it away from curtains and anything else that can catch, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
