Scented Glass Jar Candle

The Viego Co. Scented Glass Jar Candle is a hand poured soy candle in an amber glass jar, sized and shaped to sit under a candle warmer as well as to be lit on its own. The amber glass carries the glow when it is burning and still looks like an object worth leaving out when it is not.

It is poured from soy wax rather than paraffin and gives around twenty four hours of burn time from a single jar. Three scents are offered: vanilla, lavender, and sea salt and sage. Because each jar is poured by hand, small bubbles or a slightly uneven surface are normal and are a mark of the method rather than a fault. Every candle arrives in its own kraft box, so it can be given as it comes without any further wrapping.

It suits a bedside table, a living room shelf or a desk, and it is the natural companion to a warmer lamp, where the wax is melted from above and the scent is released with no flame at all. Trim the wick to five millimetres before each burn and keep the jar away from drafts, which is what keeps the pool even and stops the flame guttering. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
