Dust the weave with a dry soft brush or a vacuum brush head on low, following the strands. Never wet natural rattan: it swells and the weave loosens. Keep it away from directly above a hob, where fibre collects grease.

About this piece
The open frame lets light out through the sides as well as down, so a single fitting reaches the walls and the ceiling rather than only the table beneath it.
