5 Light Hanging Bar with Glass Jar Shades

This fixture gives a nice atmosphere while not blocking your view. On a dimmer it’s fantastic.

I was able to install most of it by myself. When I got to putting the black cover on I needed another person to hold it in place while I tightened the thumb screws. It was a bit hard lining up the sliding screws with the holes on the black cover. The finished install looks just like the product picture.One thing I did not like is the jars are not blank, they have done sort of Chinese writing on them but we don't see the writing in general use unless your looking for it.

This light was exactly what I was looking for. I loved the look of the glass jars and the fact that they could be hung a varying lengths. I was not happy with the instructions that came with the light. There was not much information and the diagrams were not that helpful. But patience paid off. I highly recommend the light but just be patient with the install or hire to have it hung. I definitely recommend having two people to do install since it is hard to hold and adjust at the same time. I used Wide Mouth Quart Mason jars instead of the jars that came with the fixture. I wasn't sure what the design was or if it was a foreign language and since I do a lot of canning myself it seemed appropriate. I also like the The Mason Jars because the Oblong Edison Bulbs I purchased have more room in the bottom of the jar since they are flatter than the jars that came with it.

We ordered this for our newly constructed home, so I can’t speak to installation because electrician installed. It’s very pretty and turned out fine. But upon looking closer, I realize that the “decoration” on the jars is actually Asian writing. That is not shown or made known in the title, any of the pictures or description. So what I thought were little dots or flowers.. is a language I know nothing about hanging in the middle of my kitchen. Hopefully at some point we will be able to replace the jars.

Follow the tips of some other reviewers for install, definitely helpful. But even with those tips it’s still a difficult install. We had to drill our own holes in the mounting bracket and add additional drywall screws to the outer bracket for additional support. With 2 people this light took about 1.5-2hrs for total install and was definitely a pain in the rear. In the end I would have rather just paid the $ for someone else to install it but the light is definitely a beautiful feature added to our dining space.

Love love love! However, definitely get an electrician to install. The installation was tricky. We had three master electricians working on a project in our home, and we asked them to install the light fixture while they were here. It took all three of them THREE hours to figure it out. But the final look is absolutely beautiful.

Absolutely LOVE this light!!!Just be aware that unless you're superwoman, it's very helpful to have a second set of hands to hang. And, it's a good idea to have the pattern (design you want the lights to hang in) figured out ahead of hanging.We put this in a new construction home and everyone that sees it compliments how great it looks in the house. I used it over my dining table and it's perfect!

I read the reviews and followed those directions because just like previously mentioned the directions aren’t great. My first one came damaged but it was quickly replaced. I couldn’t love this more over my table. We did get the warm Edison lights that look great inside the jars. I also recommend a dimmer switch.
