Wall Sconce with Reading Spotlight

The Viego Co. Reading Wall Sconce is a hardwired wall light that pairs a 50 cm vertical LED strip with an independently switched reading spotlight on a pivoting arm. The strip washes soft warm light up and down the wall for ambience, while the gold spotlight rotates a full 360 degrees and tilts through 90 degrees to put a focused beam exactly where a book sits.

The body measures 16 cm wide, 5 cm deep and 50 cm tall, built from aluminium and iron with a silicone diffuser over the strip. The frame is finished in baked matte black, and the spotlight barrel is electroplated brushed gold. Two separate switches sit on the backplate, so the ambient strip and the reading beam work independently of each other. The integrated LED draws 13 W at a warm white 3000 K colour temperature and is rated to 50,000 hours, so there is no bulb to source or replace.

It mounts to a standard wall box and runs on AC 90 to 260 V, which suits either side of a bed, a reading chair, a home office wall or a hallway. Choose the spotlight on the right or on the left so a facing pair can be mirrored across a headboard. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
